Last Night on Mars: the second edition

Her eyes were beautiful.  Perfectly complementing a smooth skinned, prettily defined face. 

Noticing he was looking at her, she very subtly met his gaze for the briefest of moments.  It was so fleeting, Isaac almost missed it...almost.

The interested look in her eyes was direct, yet warm and dulcet.

Not wanting to stare, but also determined to show interest, he smiled and nonchalantly surveyed the shuttle for a place to sit.

Laughing in return, Angelique asked how he was doing. 

Isaac had no complaints, as usual.  Mentioning how happy their meeting tonight made him caused her eyes to light up. 

“How are you, Angelique?” 

“Fine thanks.  I’m ready to forget about my day in the office.  My boss was even more of an asshole today.  If I wasn’t a lady, I wouldn’t call him only an asshole, he’d be a shitty asshole.”

“This is nice,” he responded after her lips left his.  “I was thinking about seeing you all day long,” confessed Isaac.

“Do you always say the right things?” she asked.

He laughed freely.  “No, I usually say the wrong things.  I must really want you to like me, because I’m making sure not to say anything stupid”

“So far, so good,” was Angelique’s almost purred assessment.

“Time…to do what?”

“Not to be rude, mister but I think that’s enough small talk for now. In the box next to you is your new I.D. and disguise.  We’re usually aware of all of the roadblocks that are set up in response to the demonstrations.  There’s a good chance that we might run into one.  Just in case, put it on now along with the jacket,”

Inside the parcel was a thin, pellucid mask as well as an I.D. smart card.  The I.D. he understood, but what kind of mask is see through?
